With reference to Mr. Iyttelton's

Despatch No. 104 of the 12th. May, 1905, and to Lord
Elgin' Despatch No. 82 of the 24th. April, 1907, I have
the honour to inform Your Lordship that on the 25th.
instant, being the day on which the birthday of His
Majesty the King was ordered to be celebrated in this
Colony, I unveiled the statues of Her Majesty the Queen and
of Her Royal Highness the Princess of Wales.

I enclose the reports of the
ceremony as given in the "Hongkong Daily Press" and the
"South China Morning Post" of the 26th. instant.
